FUNDING FOR GABE
In support of the Graham Ashton Brass Ensemble’s upcoming recording, "Landscapes" for Signum Records (London), Purchase College, State University of New York, has chosen Graham Ashton as the winner of the Doris and Carl Kempner Senior Faculty Research Award for 2005-2007. Finalists for the award are chosen competitively by the College Faculty Professional Standards and Awards Committee, with the winner being selected by the Provost of Purchase College. The award carries with it the title of Kempner Distinguiished Professor, and will provide financial support for commissioning fees and the musicians involved in the "Landscapes" recording.
