PURCHASE COLLEGE
GABE will begin a new residency at Purchase College beginning fall 2007. The residency will include two public concerts in the fall and spring and four masterclasses and seminars throughout the year. The spring 2008 program will include a performance of Elliot Carter's Quintet for Brass to celebrate the composer's 100th birthday. GABE will also perform two lesser-known works by Carter, 'A Birthday Flourish' and 'A Fantasy about Purcell’s Fantasia upon One Note'
GABE will also be celebrating the 80th birthday of Karlheinz Stockhausen in 2008 with various performances of his, and some of his disciples', works for brass.
