NEW COMMISSIONS
Graham Ashton has received two new commissions. The first is for a 'Symphony for Winds' - funded by the SUNY Fredonia Wind Ensemble. Three movements - 20-30 minutes duration. The premier is planned for spring 2008 in the King's Hall, SUNY Fredonia, followed by performances in China by the Fredonia Wind Ensemble conducted by Paula Holcomb
The second commission is for an arrangement for brass and organ of Mussorgsky's 'Pictures at an Exhibition' which will be premiered and recorded in the Leipzig Gewandhaus in Germany, on February 1st, 2008.
