ELLIOTT CARTER QUINTET
GABE has been invited to perform Elliot Carter's Brass Quintet at the Dartington Summer School in 2008. The concert is in celebration of the composer's 100th birthday year and will also include works by Laura Kaminsky and Gunther Schuller.
Master of The Queen's Music, Sir Peter Maxwell Davis, will also be in residence at Dartington 2008. Artistic Director, Gavin Henderson, has invited Graham Ashton to perform Max's "Sonata for Trumpet and Piano" Opus 1 (recorded for Virgin Classics). GABE's virtuoso horn player, Ann Ellsowrth, will perform "Sea Eagle" for solo horn.
